What would you do?

What would you do if you woke up this morning and all of your depression and anxiety was gone?  What would you do with your new freedom?  Would you smile?  Would you look at the world in a different manner?  Why wait...?  Why wait until that feeling comes, why wait until the possibility of that day happens?  Why not start today?  In fact if we start living today as if the anxiety and depression will not hold us back, we can have a different outlook on life entirely.  Today we woke up, there are some families out there that would love the opportunity to have their family member wake up, but some people simply do not wake back up.  Now I know that is morbid and I know that with depression the last thing you want to do is fill your mind with those thoughts, but I promise I have a reason for including that message for today.  So recently I found a song that I have been listening to, I heard it on a show that my wife and I watch and when I heard it, I stopped and grabbed my phone and looked up to see who the artist was.  This song puts a lot of things into perspective for me, the name of the song is Someday soon by Alexi Murdoch.  The song captures in my opinion the struggles of a family who is faced with a situation that is less than favorable, but in the song it is filled with uplifting messages.  That song really spoke to me in my current state.  My goal for today is to try and let you know that yes we will have days where you do not want to get out of bed and face the day.  I do not know what each of you face on a daily basis and if I can provide a smile for at least a few seconds, than my job is done.  I want you to know today that you are amazing, that you are the reason people get up in the morning, you are the reason that some still walk this earth.  Many times people let their situation and circumstance get the best of them and they make decisions that can have an impact not only on their life but for those around them.  But please know that whatever situation you are facing today,it is just a ripple in time.  Your today does not dictate your tomorrow forever, this being said yes today may have implications on your life and the choices that we make can have lasting effects, but do not be afraid that your future is lost.  We will face challenges in this life that help shape us into who we are, but it is how you wear those challenges that will help drive you in the direction you wish to go.  So for today I am asking: What would you do?  What would you do if you were given another chance at something that was lost, what would you do if you woke up and let the barriers that stand in your way not hold you back?  Most importantly what would you do if you woke up and your depression and anxiety was gone?  Why not start today, why not wake up with the mind set that you do not have to let your thoughts get in your way.  Don't let the darkness eat up your light.
