Finger tips
Sometimes I feel as if I am sitting here holding onto a cliff and as I look up, I can see my finger tips turning white from the strain of trying to hold on. Many times we are faced with that same scenario, we feel as if we are barely holding onto what we have. If you have ever seen someone in the movies and or TV fighting to stay afloat you tend to notice a couple of things. Well how in the heck did they get to this point? What went wrong or what happened that put them in this circumstance? Many times it is our own thoughts and fears that put us in this situation, however we have the strength in each one of us to pull ourselves up. Imagine that you are waking up and not knowing what the day will bring and then the events of that day lead you to a place where you are struggling to hang on, what could we have done differently to make sure that we did not end up in that spot? Sometimes there is nothing that we can do differently at all, but other times we are victims of our own minds. If you can find the strength that is deep inside of you and start to reinvent yourself, than we do not have to feel as if we are barely hanging on. Many people would see our struggle as one that we should be able to just overcome and move on from, however as you and I both know that is not always the case. Sometimes we need this struggle to help shape us into who we are called to be. I see this hanging onto a cliff as a learning experience and a chance to prove to yourself that yes you can do it. You can overcome those things that you face and that you can move on from them. Take today and as you see yourself in the struggle and see your finger tips turning white from the strain that is put on them, know that that strain is worth every bit. Your fingers turning white from exhaustion and tiredness can be a spark that can show you that yes, you will fight and you will struggle, but you will not give up. Your fingers turning white from holding on can show you that even though they appear to be at the end, they are not out for the count. So for today see yourself coming out of your struggle on the other side, look up from the struggle and try to not look down and see what is holding you back, but look ahead. If you look down you will see the ground which to me symbolizes an end. The ground stops, you can essentially go deeper than the ground but for this reference we will say the ground in the lowest point. If you slip and fall the ground will hurt, but if you turn your gaze upwards, you will see the sky. There is no limit to the sky, because as you leave the atmosphere you enter into space and space is infinite. So try to focus on looking up to the sky and seeing past what currently holds you down and try to see past all of that. Let your fingers turning white be an example of the fight you are willing to carry out.
