This post is going to be a little different from what you may be used to.  Today I wanted to touch on the topic of someone who has helped you along your journey.  I have had many people come and go from my life, but there have been a handful that have actually taken an interest in me and this journey.  Some people only ask when it is convenient  for them, others have been with me every step of the way and have not turned their backs.  I have always said that strength in numbers is key to success when it comes to this fight and that still holds true, but what if you had/have that one person who helps you through it all, when everyone else fades and that one person is in that fight with you?  There have been many people along the way that have helped me but the one person who has always been by my side has been my wife.  She is an incredible person (although she may not think it).  She is beautiful in every way and has been there no matter what I face.  She has been in the battle with me since day one and I cannot thank her enough for that.  She has been the person who has given me life back in my sails and I am forever grateful.  So with that being said, who has been that person for you?  Do you have someone that you have leaned on through it all?  Have you shown your support for them in their time of need?  
Today let's focus on that person, focus on the effort it takes to help each other out in our time of need.  Ultimately that is what we are supposed to do as humans and that is to help and care for each other and not be at odds.  Too many times we see the ugliness of the world and not the good.  Today show that good to you and that support you have.  You have the strength to share joy with others, be that light for someone as well.

Be A Man

Many times I wonder what I can write about that would be uplifting to someone who battles the same things that I do.  A lot of times I want to repeat what I have already written and it is tough coming up with something new to say.  I feel like a lot of times we always hear "oh be a man" or "You'll be fine".  But a lot of times it is tougher than expected to do what others give you advice about.  I find that mental health in individuals who has anxiety and depression is important to me and I don't want you to just "be a man" or "you'll be ok", I truly want you to be ok with who you are and what this journey has taught you.  I was recently trying to explain what anxiety was to me and I found it tough.  I found it tough to express what exactly it is that I feel on a given day.  It was a struggle to explain the emotions that I feel when I have entered into a public place or am put into a situation where I know that I have to face my demo...

Many times I struggle with self worth and thinking that I am not up to anyone's standards.  Recently an opportunity has presented itself to me and I can't seem to get out of my own way.  I feel as if I am not good enough to do this new challenge, I feel like I can't live up to the expectation that has been set forth.  I seem myself as less than everyone and that is a serious struggle for me and really is the cause of most of my depression and anxieties.  I often times when in a group setting, think that people are looking at me like I am weird or something to that effect.  I feel as if people see me in a different light than who I truly am.  Once you get to know me, I promise it is worth your time :).  I am an introvert who doesn't like crowds or speaking to new people, but lately I have been trying to push past those barriers.  I recentl...
