Be Brave

So lately I have been listening to a lot of one particular band and it has helped me to find some inspiration.  August Burns Red, they are a christian band that are not your typical style of music, but hey it works for me.  The lead vocalist has recently written a daily devotional that I picked up and have started to read.  It has really opened my eyes up to the daily struggles that people face.  It helps me to see that I am not alone in this fight.  Matter of fact, they are coming to my local area in September of this year and I am fighting back the anxiety of going and being in a big group of individuals that I do not know, but I have decided that I am going to that show and will have him sign my copy of that book if given the chance.  So I have titled this post as such because I feel that it is important for everyone to understand that greatness lies inside of all of us.  I know that at times we may feel small and feel as if we cannot accomplish much but please understand that you have the ability to overcome anything that you ever face.  A lot of times we may walk around and feel less important than the next person or we may look at ourselves in the mirror and scoff at what we see, but please hear me....  Don't let me down, I know that you are worth every second of every day.  Be brave and fight against those feelings that you face and know that you can become the version of yourself that you have been looking for.  I know that is SOOOOO much easier said than done, but trust me when I say that if you take a step towards what you are trying to accomplish you will begin to grow in confidence and strength.  Once that happens, you will be able to free yourself from all that stands in your way and live your best life.  I am going to give you a quote from a song from the above mentioned band: "Bravery will find you when your head is hung low" (Everlasting Ending, August Burns Red).  This quote has opened my eyes to see that no matter how low you are, you are never too far gone to recover and be who you wished you were.  No matter what challenges we face on a daily basis, know that you have the strength to be brave and overcome what you face.  Bravery can meet you no matter what place you are currently in at life.  I know that you may look around where you are right now and think to yourself that this guy has no idea what I am facing so who is he to tell me this???  You are right, I don't know what your circumstance is, but what I do know is that we all share similarities in the end.  We all have a heart that beats, we all have a desire to be better tomorrow than what we are today.  Take that chance in life.  You only get one shot at this.

For today, be brave.  Take a step towards what you want to accomplish in life and be the best version of yourself that you can be.  I know that sometimes we get caught up in the mundane and feel like we will never escape, but just know that you can do this.  I believe in you and I know that you are better than what you may think of yourself.  To those who have made it this far:  You are braver than you can imagine.  Be strong and courageous to accomplish what you wish.  I know that we will fail, sure we all fail.  But if you give up then you have truly failed, so today let's not give up and let's learn to be brave, not only for ourselves but for those around us as well.  "The sun will break through, you will get what you need".  You are awesome, you are amazing and you can do anything that you set your mind too.  I believe in you.

Be A Man

Many times I wonder what I can write about that would be uplifting to someone who battles the same things that I do.  A lot of times I want to repeat what I have already written and it is tough coming up with something new to say.  I feel like a lot of times we always hear "oh be a man" or "You'll be fine".  But a lot of times it is tougher than expected to do what others give you advice about.  I find that mental health in individuals who has anxiety and depression is important to me and I don't want you to just "be a man" or "you'll be ok", I truly want you to be ok with who you are and what this journey has taught you.  I was recently trying to explain what anxiety was to me and I found it tough.  I found it tough to express what exactly it is that I feel on a given day.  It was a struggle to explain the emotions that I feel when I have entered into a public place or am put into a situation where I know that I have to face my demo...

Believing is Seeing
